The shrews in this ultra-low-budget film are small dogs dressed in animal skins intended to make them look like large shrews. It is possible to hear the dogs barking in many scenes. Puppets made from animal skins were used for closeups.
James Best, who played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane on television's The Dukes of Hazzard appears in this film.
